Shout Up
A Platform to Empower and Inspire
Empowering young people to have a say in youth-related policy making.
A team of young leaders from the municipality of Čair developed a series of interviews involving ten inspiring young people from the community – creatives, influencers and more.
They aimed to encourage others to engage more with local political processes and to counter the lack of motivation that they felt is prevalent in Čair.
On April 17th 2021 they were able to connect these young influencers to more than 30 other young people from the community to discuss a ten-point plan for Čair to resolve the challenge of low levels of civic participation of young people.

Discussing the Impact of their Interviews
The project received the attention of national media, and the team was featured on a well-known national breakfast show. They discussed the impact of their social media campaign, the upcoming dialogue event and the posts which were viewed over 16,000 times and liked more than 1,500 times.
Following the success of their project, they wanted to connect the young influencers they interviewed with other youth from the community to inspire them and galvanise their motivation for civic participation. While the event was forced online because of the restrictions imposed in North Macedonia, the participants greatly appreciated the opportunity. We hope to share the results of that meeting soon.
