Tailored Support for City Stakeholders

Young Cities helps local government better understand the needs of young people and identify opportunities for youth involvement.

Young Cities has supported municipal officials to adapt youth programming to be more responsive and inclusive of young people’s needs.

We have led innovative trainings, provided cities with youth-related policy support, and facilitated opportunities for youth-city collaboration. These activities contribute to ensuring local government programmes and policies related to young people are relevant and resonant to their needs. In total, we have provided over £40,000 across City Initiatives led by municipal representatives.

In addition to the grants and support we offer young people to pilot new programmes, Young Cities also supports its city partners through City Initiatives. Through small grants and ongoing support, City Initiatives create an opportunity for a municipal government to pilot programmes for young people in their municipality, or fill critical gaps in their youth programming.
